The Yiddish word Klezmer derives from two Hebrew roots: klei (“vessel” or “instrument”) and zemer (“song”).
There are many types of Jewish music and we love it all! However, we focus specifically on Klezmer and Yiddish Folk music.
In addition to preserving the existing repertoire, the foundation's commitment to creating new traditions is noteworthy. This demonstrates an understanding of the dynamic nature of culture and the importance of adapting to contemporary contexts while maintaining a connection to the past.
