Traditional Jewish Music Foundation
The Traditional Jewish Music Foundation works to continue the living art of Jewish music as a way to keep alive old traditions while creating new ones. Preserving and celebrating the rich heritage of Jewish music is essential for passing on cultural traditions to future generations. Traditional Jewish music often reflects the history, values, and emotions of the Jewish people, making it a vital aspect of our cultural identity.
In addition to preserving the existing repertoire, the foundation's commitment to creating new traditions is noteworthy. This demonstrates an understanding of the dynamic nature of culture and the importance of adapting to contemporary contexts while maintaining a connection to the past.
TJMF supports Jewish culture as a whole while playing a crucial role in supporting musicians, composers, artists, and educators who contribute to the vitality of Jewish music. Together we organize events, concerts, and educational programs to engage the community and foster a deeper appreciation for traditional Jewish music.
